چکیده

A technique to quickly detect motion blur from mobile phone camera and its implementation on an iPhone 4S were presented. GPU was utilized to accelerate the implementation. Direction of motion relative to the image space was used in addition to the image itself to detect motion blur. The accuracy of detection was 75%, and computation took on average 0.73 seconds for 8MP image on an iPhone 4S. Error in direction of motion and memory management for hi-resolution were the main unresolved issues for this implementation. Keywords-Motion Blur; Blur Detection; GPU filtering;

Image Stabilization Performance: Existing standards and the challenges for mobile imaging

Cameras in mobile phones are supposed to capture images under a huge variety of lighting conditions while mostly hand held. To improve the performance in low light conditions, image stabilization shall optimize the resulting image by reducing the negative effects of motion blur due to handshake. While most cameras use an opto-mechanic approach and correct the motion by moving a lens element or ...

Multi-GPU based framework for real-time motion analysis and tracking in multi-user scenarios

Video processing algorithms present a necessary tool for various domains related to computer vision such as motion tracking, event detection and localization in multi-user scenarios (crowd videos, mobile camera, scenes with noise, etc.). However, the new video standards, especially those in high definitions require more computation since their treatment is applied on large video frames. As resu...

Mobile phone imaging module with extended depth of focus based on axial irradiance equalization phase coding

This paper presents a mobile phone imaging module with extended depth of focus (EDoF) by using axial irradiance equalization (AIE) phase coding. From radiation energy transfer along optical axis with constant irradiance, the focal depth enhancement solution is acquired. We introduce the axial irradiance equalization phase coding to design a twoelement 2-megapixel mobile phone lens for trade off...

The IIIA30 Mobile Robot Object Recognition Dataset

Object perception is a key feature in order to make mobile robots able to perform high-level tasks. However, research aimed at addressing the constraints and limitations encountered in a mobile robotics scenario, like low image resolution, motion blur or tight computational constraints, is still very scarce. In order to facilitate future research in this direction, in this work we present an ob...

An interlaced composition of odd and even subimage fields is a very common video formation technique. Motion degradation is an inherent problem in portable imaging systems, such as airborne imaging, mobile phones, rob...
